I have been training for over 20 years, specifically in the gym. In order to maintain my ultimate weight and physique, I have found that diet, cardio, and weight lifting have been my keys to success. When it comes to achieving your goals, consistency and commitment will be your two greatest allies.
Whether you are new to the gym looking for change, or a regular at the gym wondering why your physique has not changed much, I can help. When I started out, I was 165 pounds, mid 30’s, and had only had 2 gym memberships that didn’t last long prior. I would workout for about 4 to 8 weeks and get discouraged because I saw no results, then quit. (Sound familiar?)
One night I was watching the UFC with some buddies and told them I wanted to look ripped like some of those fighters did. One of my buddies challenged me to join the gym he belonged to, and here I am 16 years later. I went from 165 lbs. to 205 lbs. then learned how to shed body fat and not only be strong but get ripped. Keep in mind this was before all of the information we have online currently, so my main source of information from asking others questions and tweaking my diet and workout routines until I learned how to attain my dream physique.
As I age, I can admit truthfully that consistency has been the leading factor to me keeping my physique at its optimum levels.
